LIPA plays host to the Casio Grand Hybrid for Action in Music

The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (founded by Sir Paul McCartney) was the ideal place to bring our Action in Music tour too. LIPA was born out of Sir Paul's wish to provide a productive use for his former school building, fast forward over 20 years since LIPA's opening and Casio's nationwide campaign to raise awareness of the importance of music education, still resonates with the inspiring teachers and students of the school. We were generously provided with a unique insight into passionate music teaching par excellence. Here the alumni offer their thoughts on the joy of Music and our Celviano Grand Hybrid Piano...

Graham Fitch talks Action in Music and Celviano Grand Hybrid

We had the pleasure of spending the morning with esteemed pianist, teacher, adjudicator and writer Graham Fitch. Graham's rich and varied life experience in all aspects of the art of piano, from his illustrious teaching career (Purcell School, London's Royal Academy of Music) to his oversubscribed masterclass workshops and regular articles for Pianist magazine, provided us with an highly informed and honest assessment of our latest range of Celviano Grand Hybrid pianos, designed in collaboration with C. Bechstein.  We're delighted to offer Graham's unique insight for you here...

ELAM (East London Arts & Music) joins the Action in Music

The latest edition of our Action in Music initiative saw us delve into the heart of one of London’s most modern free schools dedicated to the Arts and Music. Our visit to ELAM (East London Arts & Music) gave us the privilege to observe the Director of Music Nathan Lilley with a class of talented Music Technology students as they learnt the art of sequencing, whilst also demonstrating their piano skills on our state of the art Celviano Grand Hybrid Piano range. We were delighted to provide an opportunity for the students to express their talents on such authentic piano, its hybrid features invaluable to a recording environment.  Here are the thoughts of the day’s key players as we continue, alongside Classic FM and ABRSM, to celebrate the work of Music Teachers nationwide, in the quest for the Music Teacher of The Year.

Action in Music @ THE BRIT SCHOOL

Our #actioninmusic initiative celebrating the inspiring work of Music Teachers and Students nationwide has provided a profound insight into just what the art of music making means in the lives of aspiring musicians.  This was witnessed none more so, than at our most recent trip to the BRIT School in Croydon, as we introduced the students to our latest Celviano Grand Hybrid piano. The BRIT School over many years has developed wide acclaim for educating some of the most recognized stars in the British Recording Industry, (Adele, Amy Winehouse to name but few), and yet what shined through above all else, on the day of our filming was the hidden hands behind the soul of their music department and the genuine care and consideration shown to all students, right from the receptionist, to the studio engineer, to the Director of Music. The BRIT School cares deeply about their students. We were privileged enough to experience this first hand, as we took over their Sir George Martin recording studio and captured the performances and thoughts of both teacher and students alike, on the joys of playing Celviano Grand Hybrid...

The Leys School share thoughts on Action In Music

Our latest episode of the Celviano Grand Hybrid #actioninmusic tour, saw us showcase our pianos at The Grand Arcade Shopping Centre, Cambridge.  The centre is only a short step away from the historic Kings' College Chapel, famed for its evensong services, which has performed rich choral music through out the ages. The City's musical history lent itself perfectly for us to showcase the musical talents of the local community and our latest  Grand Hybrid models (adept enough to realize the most technical of classical pieces).  Our partner retailer for the event was Millers Music, a retailer also steeped in the musical tradition of the City. All that was left to do was invite local students from The Leys School to wow and delight us with their musicality, passion for creating music and provide their own insights into the action and sound of Celviano Grand Hybrid piano...
